Matt Busch was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania in 1972, but grew up in the northern suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. He attended and received a Bachelor Degree from the Art Center College of Design. After living in Los Angeles for nearly a decade during the '90s, Busch returned to the Northern Detroit area where he now has his company, Planetmatt Entertainment.  He continues to work on Hollywood projects, via new technology.

He is well known in many different circles of pop culture and fandom as an entertainment illustrator. He is known for his work with the Star Wars universe, including the style D Episode 3 one sheet movie poster, and the "You Can Draw Star Wars" series,  in addition to illustrating for many other popular Hollywood properties such as Con Air, The Matrix. Many art collectors and celebrities in Hollywood have his work in their homes...Busch has also found success in independent filmmaking.

Busch has taught and guest lectured at many colleges across the country, including the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, the Animation Academy, the College for Creative Studies, and the Columbus College of Art and Design.  He continues to be both an art professor and a working artist.  Hollywood is Dead is his favorite project to date.
